My dad is enrolled Tonowanda Seneca and my mom is a mix of Swedish and English (she thinks). I grew up on and around the Cattaraugus Seneca Territory located in Western New York exploring the woods and creeks. I am a first year student in the UB Indigenous Studies Graduate program with a focus on environmental engineering and environmental justice. Specifically I am looking at the Creek that runs through our territory that has endured years of contamination and is still threatened by a nuclear waste plant.
