Program Coordinator

Taelani Camacho is the Program Coordinator for Empowering Pacific Islander Communities (EPIC). As the Program Coordinator, Taelani supports the growth and development of programs for Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities through incorporating cultural perspectives that respect Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander histories. Through her experience working with At-Promise populations navigating educational spaces, Taelani is excited to continue her journey uplifting her community. Taelani is committed to raising awareness, advocacy, and efforts surrounding the Pacific Islander Community. Taelani is Chamorro, born on the island of Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands raised on the Kumeyaay Lands of San Diego, California. Taelani holds her Master’s Degree in Sociological Practice, and Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Justice Studies from California State University, San Marcos.
