Tasha Napeli

Project Resilience Intern Fall ‘24

My name is Tasha Napeli, and I’m proud of my Samoan heritage. I’m currently a third-year senior at California State University, Long Beach, majoring in English Education with a minor in Human Development. My goal is to earn my California teaching credentials so I can give back to the Long Beach community that has supported me throughout my journey. Looking ahead, I’m also working toward credentials in English as a Foreign Language and a speech pathology license, with the hope of one day returning to Samoa to support my village. Helping my South Pacific community is something I deeply care about.

During my time at CSULB, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Vice President of the Pacific Islander's Association, where I’ve been able to advocate for and share Pacific culture with a broader audience. Outside of this, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and doing crafts with my family and friends. These activities help me stay connected to my roots and the people I care about.
